⟁ Interlude: The Silence Between Turning Points ⟁
There is a moment in every life when the momentum pauses—not because the story has ended, but because it has reached a depth words cannot yet cross. This interlude marks such a pause.
Between the events of a life and the meaning of a life lies a region without language. It is not memory and not anticipation, not dream and not conclusion. It is the space in which the self recognizes it is in motion even when the body is still.
Here, the child who once woke from the nightmare without a name grows into someone capable of examining the dream rather than fleeing from it. And the world around them begins to mirror the same transition: systems hesitating, identities stretching, institutions unsure whether to defend their old shapes or soften into new ones.
This interlude belongs to the hinge of becoming.
Nothing resolves here. Nothing must.
This is the interval in which the psyche rearranges itself, like sediment settling after a river’s flood. It is the breath drawn between chapters not because the story requires rest, but because consciousness requires integration.
Every awakening has a silence that precedes articulation.
Every articulation has a silence that follows it.
The next chapter begins only when this one has finished listening.
